Steller’s Sea Eagles in the far East are the largest migratory birds in the world. Every year, they travel from Sakhalin to Hokkaido to pass the winter.
However, many of these birds face cruelty, even death, when confronted with different obstacles, such as wind turbines that spin at 300km/hour or electric polls that shock the birds upon landing.
Compiling research for over 10 years, one veterinarian reveals everything he knows about the mode of life of Steller’s Sea Eagles in order to find a solution to end their cruel deaths in Hokkaido. This program captures the veterinarian’s struggle as he negotiates with many different businesses, fighting for a peaceful co-existence of humans and Steller’s Sea Eagles.
