At 14 years old, Tasaki is fed up with his depressing life in a rural town. He spends time with his shy friend, Eda, but his days are lackluster. To make matters worse he is bullied by his classmate Takiguchi. The small joy in his life is the occasional conversation with a girl named Sakura. One day, he hears about an old tank that sunk in a lake. Driven by the idea that the tank could bring some excitement into his life, Tasaki sets off to find it.
