Mizuki’s mother is a widow and raises her three daughters by herself on a flower farm.
Following a quarrel with her mother, Mizuki leaves her family and hometown behind.
Now working for an employment agency in Tokyo, she is discouraged by her life in the city and her inability to commit to marry her live-in boyfriend.
Upon learning her mother has suffered a stroke she reluctantly returns home. Mizuki is shocked to find that her mother is paralyzed on her right side and suffering from aphasia.
As circumstances pull their family apart, Mizuki discovers the meaning of family and tries to strengthen her family bond.
