What's most important to us is always changing and disappearing from view. In the winter of 2009, Akiko Shimizu is a student at a high school in Tokyo, one as far away from her house as she could have possibly gotten accepted into. She is in her second year and is always sleep-deprived since she has trouble sleeping at home. She goes to her grandma's house, where she used to live, and falls asleep there. Akiko, sleep-deprived as usual, meets Yoshida on the train. Even though Akiko knows they may never understand each other, they fall in love, spend time together, and eventually break up. Though it might be a mistake, Akiko tries to embrace each moment and to fall asleep.
